I've been having a writer's block lately, but it finally broke during Swedish class. But Sofia wouldn't shut up >.< Honestly, she knows how much I hate being disturbed in class. Or how I hate even more to be disturbed when writing! God, that girl certainly knows how to piss me off...

I'll have to postpone posting the rest of the requests ;__; My claims for 1sentence was finally accepted and I wanted to post them, since they've been in the drawer for so long. I'll upload Anne's third fic next week :)

(I can't upload three fics in one week - I'll lose my buffer completely)

Title: How soon is now?

Warnings: Teacher/student-relationship, mentions of child abuse, sex, character death
Summary: AU. Marui is a teacher at a school and Kamio is his student.
a/n: This is, and will probably remain so for a while, one of my absolute favourite pairings. No matter how crackish it is.

How soon is now?

#40 – History
Marui is a history teacher and Kamio is his student.

#02 – Cool
Kamio, with his baggy pants, tight shirts and ever-present head-phones pumping music into his ears, is considered cool by his classmates and they always wonder why he hangs out with a loser like Ibu.

#09 – King
Kamio could be a king and the class could be his court, but then he would have to drop Shinji and he can’t because Shinji is his oldest friend, and that’s the loyalty that Marui first notices.

#18 - Attention
This loyalty is first brought to his attention, when a couple of kids are bullying Ibu and Kamio steps in without a hesitation and the kids immediately obey him. Afterwards they ask him to join them, but he refuses because of the way they have treated his friend.

#14 – Command
Most of the class obeys his commands without a second thought, but it annoys Marui to no end that he can’t get Kamio to turn off his iPOD during class.

#31 - Book
Kamio has forgotten his books at home and he prepares for a lecture, but Marui-sensei doesn’t yell at him but simply says: “Don’t let it happen again, Kamio-san.”

#10 - Learn
Marui-sensei has an ability to make everything interesting and Kamio learns a lot from him.

#35 - Sudden
There’s a sudden knock on the classroom door.

#37 - Time
Time slows down as a woman from the principle’s office asks to see Kamio outside.

#36 - Stop
Kamio’s heart stops when they tell him that one of his sisters have collapsed at her school.

#46 - Drive
Marui-sensei dismisses the class and drives Kamio to the hospital.

#42 - Bother
“I’m sorry to be a bother, Marui-sensei.”
Marui-sensei pops his bubblegum, a hypocritical habit he has since nobody else is allowed to chew gum in class, and says that it is not a bother.

#44 - Wall
Marui-sensei leaves him in the hospital’s waiting room with his mother and Kamio stares at the wall while their waiting.

#29 - Safe
It turns out to only be a slight heatstroke and Kamio is very relieved, because his family is now safe.

#25 - Shadow
But even as the family rejoices, there’s a shadow looming over them and it steals little of their happiness.

#30 - Ghost
The family is haunted by the ghost of Kamio’s father, who clings to the mortal life because of the man that is Kamio’s mother’s new husband and the father to Kamio’s younger sisters.

#50 - Believe
Kamio used to believe in a smiling world where everyone cared and nobody died, but then his stepfather came along and Kamio didn’t believe anymore.

#33 - Never
Kamio has never felt the need to thank somebody as deeply as he feels it now, and the next day he profuse his deep gratitude to Marui-sensei for driving him to the hospital.

#13 - Change
Time has passed when Marui notices a change in Kamio’s behaviour that it is quite startling, he’s strangely timid and sits hunched down in his seat.

#27 - Hide
The red hair has been combed forward so it covers one of Kamio’s blue eyes, and Marui asks him to stay after class.

#32 – Eye
Marui oversteps his boundaries to brush back the hair from the eye and reveal the bruising surrounding it. He makes sure that Kamio’s stepfather can never touch him again with principle Yukimura’s help.

#47 - Harm
Yukimura and the vice-principle, and Yukimura’s partner, Sanada agree with Marui on one thing: no child, not one of their children, should ever come to harm.

#24 – Now
But now, in this very moment, Marui’s feelings for Kamio are changing.

#34 - Sing
Kamio’s class is musically inclined and for the school festival the girls decide that they should play, and everybody votes Kamio to sing as he has a dark, lovely voice.

#19 - Soul
When Marui hears him sing the song ‘How soon is now?’ by an American band called The Smiths, something resonates in his very soul

#01 - Motion
Marui notices that Kamio always is in motion, always tapping his fingers or moving his foot to a beat that only he can hear.

#07 - One
This is only one of the many things that Marui notices about Kamio.

#08 - Thousand
There are a thousand reasons why Marui should not notice these things about Kamio.

#03 - Young
Kamio is so young that it is sinful.

#05 - Wrong
It is wrong to lust after one of his students, wrong on so many planes but he can’t help it.

#23 – Child
Marui is an adult, even when he doesn’t act like one, and Kamio is only a child.

#16 – Need
What Kamio needs and what Kamio wants is two different things – Kamio needs a father figure, but wants a lover and that’s why he kisses Marui-sensei.

#12 - Wait
He is so embarrassed afterwards that he runs away, even though Marui-sensei calls out after him: “Kamio, wait!”

#11 – Blur
All Marui sees is a blur as Kamio dashes out of the open classroom door – what if someone had seen? – and he is strangely impressed by how fast Kamio is.

#21 - Fool
“I’m such a fool, Shinji. I kissed him, dammit, I kissed Marui-sensei!”

#22 - Mad
Shinji is strangely quiet and he is only silent when he is mad, but Kamio can’t understand why, because even if Kamio had been an idiot to kiss their teacher there’s no reason for Shinji to be mad.

#43 - God
“Kami, Akira, you can be really inconsiderate, you know. Or haven’t you noticed that I’m in love with you? Strange Shinji can have no feelings; I thought you were different from the others and that you at least could see how I felt about you…”

#28 – Fortune
Shinji’s friendship is a fortune that Kamio cannot afford to loose, but he won’t lie to his friend and say that he feels the same, because he cannot return the love that Shinji wants.

#20 - Picture
Shinji is hurt and angry, and won’t return Kamio’s phone-calls. Kamio sits with a picture of him and Shinji and wishes that it was as good as the real thing.

#41 - Power
Marui is a person in power and that is why he should not let Kamio inside when the boy turns up on his doorstep saying that Shinji won’t talk to him anymore because he is in love with Marui.

#04 – Last
Marui-sensei is not encouraging, but not discouraging either, so Kamio takes a chance and kisses him, wishing that this moment could last forever.

#39 – Torn
Marui is torn between what he considers right and what he considers wrong, but his heart and body overrules reason when he glimpses the first glimpse of pale skin.

#45 - Naked
Seeing Kamio’s naked body is like seeing water in the desert, and Marui’s hands must roam all over the soft skin, his lips must cover every inch of skin with feather-light kisses, his tongue must explore every hidden crevice.

#49 - Hunger
The hunger in Marui-sensei’s purple eyes are almost frightening, but the attention is also rather flattering and makes Kamio blush bright red for some unknown reasons.

#06 – Gentle
The fingers inside him are an odd, foreign sensation as they carefully stretch him and when Marui-sensei gently thrusts in, it barely hurts, even if it is uncomfortable until he gets used to it.

#38 – Wash
Afterwards, even though Marui is tired, he carries a drowsy Kamio to the shower and carefully wash away sweat and cum from the young body.

#15 – Hold
Marui carries a now sleeping Kamio back to the futon and puts him down on it, lying down beside him so that he can hold the smaller body comfortably.

#48 – Precious
Marui brushes away damp, dark-red hair from Kamio’s forehead and realizes that in a short amount of time, this boy has become very precious to him and he can’t allow anything to harm him.

#26 – Goodbye
After dressing, Marui kisses Kamio goodbye on the forehead and leaves to tell Yukimura and Sanada what he has done.

#17 – Vision
Kamio’s last vision of Marui-sensei is blurred with sleep and of his back, and it is the very last because the next day they found Marui murdered in a ditch.

OWARI

a/n: There are a lot to say about this fic, I realize. The first is that Marui is a genius and therefore younger than other teachers. This is his first year teaching. Kamio is around fifteen-sixteen years old.

Normally I would let people interpret the ending like they wanted, but I felt that I had to explain the two possibilities I saw for how Marui ended up dead in a ditch. The first is that he was robbed and killed, without it having anything to do with Kamio. The second is that Yukimura, or rather Sanada, killed him. Here there are also two possibilities of reasons for killing him: 1. He asked them to kill him so he wouldn’t go to jail and soil Kamio’s reputation. 2. They killed him for, in their eyes, harming one of their children.

For this little twisted thing, please review or leave inputs and edits. Thank you.
